Application and License Requirements

The Florida Electrolysis Council is responsible for licensing and regulating electrologists and electrology facilities that meet statutory requirements for safe practice in Florida.  Applicants seeking to be licensed as an Electrologist in Florida may apply by Examination or Endorsement.

Continuing Education: Click here for information regarding continuing education requirements for initial licensure.   It is also strongly recommended that you review all of the laws and rules regulating this profession.

Exam: Applicants applying by examination must successfully pass the International Board of Electrologists Certification (IBEC).  Applications must be received, reviewed and in a "COMPLETE" status by the application deadline date in order to be considered for a particular examination date.
