I chose the FL-EIS Program because of the opportunities it offers through hands-on training and mentorship. By providing a comprehensive two-year post-graduate training experience, the FL-EIS Program trains future generations of public health practitioners through a wide variety of projects in many different settings. In addition, the mentorship aspect not only fosters personal and professional development, but also illustrates the collaboration that is important to successful public health outcomes. The amount of knowledge I will gain in the field and from my mentors will only broaden my public health and epidemiology knowledge.

I chose the FL-EIS program to gain an invaluable hands on experience in public health and applied epidemiology. Through mentorship and training, I will have the ability to enhance my knowledge and skills in the areas of: surveillance, investigations, research, public preparedness and community outreach. The FL-EIS program builds leaders in Public Health and I know it will be an amazing two year experience that will allow me to grow as an epidemiologist and help me obtain my future professional goals.

I chose the FL-EIS program because I want to be in an environment where I will be able to further develop my epidemiological skills to serve others through the training and mentorship offered by the program. My work with the Seminole County Health Department will bring me face-to-face with emerging public health issues allowing me the opportunity to refine my skills in a challenging and changing environment. The FL-EIS program will provide me the training to develop professionally and enhance the services I will provide working with the county health department's epidemiology program.

The opportunities and mentorship provided by the FL-EIS Program creates an ideal hands-on environment in which to learn and gain a well-rounded experience in applied epidemiology.  The FL-EIS requires interaction at the federal, state, and county levels allowing develop of professional relationships that will continue to cultivate greater epidemiologic capacity and expertise in Florida.  During my two year service I hope to provide a tangible positive impact on the communities I serve.

I chose the FL-EIS program to further develop my epidemiologic knowledge and skills in Florida’s diverse public health issues.  The FL-EIS program will allow me to experience epidemiology in an applied public health setting and will train me to respond to the different challenges that arise in disease control and prevention. I will gain skills through a multitude of opportunities ranging from outbreak investigations, surveillance activities, manuscript-writing, and interacting with various public partners. These opportunities are monumental in forming me into a well-rounded epidemiologist.

The FL-EIS program is an excellent opportunity for me to develop professionally in public health epidemiology.  I choose this program because it is designed to provide a solid foundation in all aspects of applied epidemiology through experienced mentors, training, and hands-on field work. The dynamic range of field experience in outbreak investigation, surveillance, data analysis, and writing will help me develop into a well-rounded leader in the field of epidemiology.
