Tuberculosis (TB): Provide leadership, policy development and technical assistance to contribute to the prevention of TB.  Support the provision of targeted testing, contact investigation, treatment for latent TB infection and treatment for TB disease services.  Provide training and technical assistance related to TB control. Coordinate morbidity reporting, serve as liaison to laboratories, pharmacies and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC); provide surveillance and monitoring services, epidemiological investigation and program evaluation.

Refugee Health: Florida ranks above all other states in annual refugee arrivals. The Refugee Health Program (RHP) coordinates the provision of health assessment and immunization services to new arrivals to protect the public health of our communities. The RHP also provides policy direction for refugee/entrant health issues, provides reimbursements to county health departments providing refugee/entrant health assessment and immunization services, and coordinates interpretation and translation services for the refugee population.
