After participating in the introductory Hepatitis 101 Class, participants will have a basic understanding of the following:

  • Hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C: clinical features, methods
    of transmission, and prevention messages.
  • Patients/clients who should be referred for hepatitis vaccination and testing.
  • How to use hepatitis information to counsel patients/clients about hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.
  • Test results for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.
  • How HIV/AIDS affects the progression of hepatitis C.
